So as I procrastinate I put on the Yankees/Red Sox game. I haven't been too interested in baseball since high school, but I am a Yankees fan. It's a pretty even split here at UNH - if someone doesn't cheer for either team, they at least have a preference of who wins. I think NYC is just an all-around better city than Boston, and my entire family is comprised of Yankee fans. Even though I am mostly a fan based on association, I still get super annoyed when Boston wins. We'll see what happens - Yankees are losing now but I'm crossing my fingers that they'll pull through.
I am so excited for Spring Weekend! It's so close and there are some awesome things planned for it. I waited in a long line on Thursday to get my concert ticket, absolutely everyone is pumped to see Third Eye Blind. The spring concerts in the area this year haven't been that great, and a lot of my friends from other schools are jealous of our lineup. I'm counting down the days.
We did a debate in Persuasive Communication on torture the other day. I'm still not entirely sure where I stand on the subject but listening to everyone talk definitely swayed me toward a side. I didn't expect much from the debate because we didn't have a lot of time to prepare but it went well. Our class is getting really good at debates, and our final exam is a debate. My team is debating to legalize marijuana, and I'm very confident that we're going to do well.
Finals are creeping up behind us. The kids at Northeastern are already finished, which is so weird. We have two weeks of regular classes left, but I have some finals during that time. It's going to be rough studying in this heat wave, but I can't wait to spend my free time at the beach - which will hopefully be soon!
