So, remember how I was having a good couple of weeks, and I was waiting for something bad to happen? Well, this week has been incredibly difficult, and it’s only Wednesday. . .
It all started at the beginning of the month, when I got an email saying that my financial aid application was incomplete. Now, usually what happens, at least for me, is that my tax woman sends in all of my tax stuff to the financial aid office, and they handle everything, and everything is hunky-dory. However, right before tax season started, my tax lady had a stroke. Even after hearing this, my parents still decided to go to her, because she has done our taxes for the past five years. She’s done our taxes wrong for those five years, but my parents thought this would be THE year. Haha.
So the applications have to be completed by this Friday, April 24th. I got an email saying that my W-2’s were missing, and I have since been trying to get in touch with my accountant (who didn’t answer one of my phone calls) and my boss to hopefully get a copy of my W-2’s. I was able to successfully accomplish the latter, but then, when I asked my boss to fax the forms to the financial aid office, she decided it could wait a few days.
Here I was, in West Haven, trying to get financial aid, while my W-2’s are sitting an hour away in Bristol at my place of work. My boss finally faxed them in, and I will have financial aid, but I’ve been practically pulling my hair out for the past few weeks. . .
On top of that, I got a 62 on a music theory quiz. I NEVER get anything bellow an 80! I was flipping out! Then I completely forgot about my Production, Promotion and Distribution test this week. Everything is just piling on top of me, to the point where I really don’t have a chance to breath.
I bet you’re wondering where the good part of this blog is huh? Well, I’ve been kicking it into high gear today. I made myself a To Do list that was literally a full page (11x8.5”) long. Including writing this blog, I have crossed off a total of five things. Keep in mind, some of the things included on this list are getting my hair cut, dying it, watching a movie so I can return it to my friend and picking up a metronome/tuner and a pitch pipe at guitar center. So really, a lot of the stuff can be put on hold. But I do need to write my physics lab, do my physics homework, write an article for the music magazine and a few more blogs for the week. No big deal, right? I can pull an all-nighter if I have too. :o)
And right now I’m listening to the ever-mellow “Hotel California”. That song can always put me in a better mood, and it has yet to disappoint.
