The Student Committee Of Programming Events (SCOPE) announced the Spring Concert Lineup: Blue Jupiter (who?), Trey Songz (uhhh...he spelt his name wrong), Trapt (one-hit wonder), and Third Eye Blind (CHA-CHING!) I'm not saying they're one of my favorite bands, but I have a few Third Eye Blind albums on my Ipod. Trapt is popular simply because of Headstrong, and that was big back in about 8th grade! There are a few kids that are excited for Trapt, but they know they're in the minority.
Let me take a time out to look up Blue Jupiter and Trey Songz...ok i'm back. Blue Jupiter will be the Emcee for the concert, and they're an acapella group. Alright thats fine, even though their MySpace account has demos up, and are even looking for a male singer to join the group (hmmm, I mean it is a tough job market). Trey Songz is the hip-hop act, and from the looks of his songs I think he is our generation's BabyFace. Song titles include "I need a girl", "Missin You", "In Ya Phone", "Last Time", and "Can't Help But Wait".. I'm sure I'll need some fresh air during the concert.
Trapt, sure they have a few songs, and I'm sure I'll give in and sing along to a few of them. Third Eye Blind could be pretty good. It's been a while since they've been popular, but they've always been somewhat in the limelight...I guess you could say they'll NEVER LET YOU GO! Oh that was so tempting!
Oh well; it looks like it could be a somewhat decent concert to graduate to. Until next time..."
