If you are a student or applying to be a student at University of New Haven, you probably care for the development of this University. You would be interested in being acquainted with the places the money is used, the causes it is used for and how much money do we actually have???. Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) is one huge answer to the barrage of questions raised by the curious students of UNH. USGA makes sure that all the funds are used for the benefit of the students at UNH; it impedes the misuse of the funds and keeps track of the places the funds are used. USGA meets every week, unless there is a holiday on the day of the week they are supposed to meet, they are pretty regular. They are as regular as exams and midterms are regular in a student’s life.
USGA has its own website called as Chargervoice.com, the moment a student opens up the website, the first question that pops up is ‘What can the Student Government do for you??’. This creates a homely feeling for the UNH students and exonerates them to think and ask any questions they have regarding the school in general or the way USGA works. This question is followed by another question ‘Want something changed on Campus?’ It asks change seeking students to fill the concern form and assures them that USGA would make every effort to find answers to any intricate change seeking questions by the students. Chargervoice.com also helps the students to find the times of the various USGA executive boards members, in order for the students to meet them one on one for more personalized questions and answers.
Ohhhh wow now that I said that, I remembered that I haven’t told you guys about the various USGA positions. USGA has a President, Vice-President, Executive Assistant, Treasurer and Sergeant At Arms. It also has 20 senators that represent the various student bodies in general. USGA has many committees that helps out in various activities on campus and make sure issues on campus like residential issues, food, Commuter issues, embracing differences, special events, health and safety etc are taken care of and resolved.
All in all USGA is a momentous part of the campus. USGA to UNH is what a heartbeat is to a heart. Without any offence to any heart patients out there. Lol
