UConn and E-Mail

For anyone that is from Connecticut, you know how popular UConn basketball can be.  It doesn't change at all when on a college campus while in the state.  This past Saturday the UConn men played Michigan State and lost, and the campus was somber and sad.  However, Tuesday night when the UConn women defeated Louisville to finish the season undefeated, and seeing as this game ended with a happy ending, people were out celebrating after the win.  Being a fan of basketball, I'm out celebrating whatever happens in sports!

This past weekend, UNH E-mail was either down or running very slow for most students.  It may seem like a way to complain about the school, but thankfully it was a learning experience for most students.  A good piece of advice for kids looking to get into college is to have a second E-mail address other than their school's E-mail.  I've had an address ever since high school, and I'm quite certain I'll be keeping it past UNH.  It isn't my screen name for my AIM, because having a funny screen name as your E-mail address is not that professional.  I've had an address with just my name, and I use it as another E-mail account when networking.  It not only is an E-mail you can use after college, it's also an E-mail address to be used in case something goes wrong with the school's, as was the case this past weekend.

So no matter where you go, it's best to keep a second E-mail account in case something goes wrong.

Talk to you later!
