So, before I came back to school from Spring Break, I made the mistake of going to the bookstore and buying books. Now, to any normal person, this wouldn’t be a problem, but for me. . . oh man, bad move.
I’m the definition of a bookworm. Once I find a good book, I stay up to all hours of the night reading, neglect my work, and become chronically late to my classes. Oops. I bought, Watchmen because I wanted to read it before I saw the movie, and I finished it in 3 days. I also bought Dead Until Dark, which is the book that the HBO series True Blood is based on. I absolutely love that book, and searched the internet so I could watch the show. . . each episode is an hour long, and there are 12 of them. Factor in the time for each movie to buffer on the slow UNH internet, and I have wasted a good 16 hours of my life this week. I could have been so much more productive! But I wasn’t. Shame on me!
Let this be a lesson in planning –don’t go to the bookstore just before you return to school from spring break.
The Rave show was officially cancelled, which is a real bummer because I know a lot of people were looking forward to it. Oh well, maybe the performers will be interested in playing next year!
On a good note for MEISA, we finally booked Patent Pending for our end of the year show on May 6th!!!! They had such a good turn out last semester when they played our Halloween show! I’m so excited to have them back again!
