So this week has proven to be very exciting! On Tuesday I received an email informing me that I’m going to be an RA next year!!! I’m so excited! I’ll be the Resident Assistant of the Music LLC in Botwinik Hall. Free, single room!
And at the moment, I’m chillin’ in a hotel room in Boston. The Annual National MEISA conference is this weekend at the Berklee College of Music. Music Industry Professionals from all over, and other MEISA members are joining together to meet, and learn a heck of a lot about the music industry. It looks like it’s going to be a jam-packed weekend. However, it didn’t exactly start off on the right foot. . .
To start the trip off, our bus driver got lost. We had to be on Soldiers Field Rd. . . but his GPS directed us to Beacon St, which is much closer to Berklee, but not even remotely close to the hotel. Anyways, after a frantic call to the hotel, we safely arrived and checked into our rooms and whatnot.
Once we got hear and I checked the MEISA email, I found an email telling us that our show planned for April 1st, our first Rave, was cancelled because the paperwork wasn’t handed in on time. Awesome. I can’t wait until the rest of the executive board finds out! Hopefully it will work out just like the Queers show worked out. Keep your fingers crossed???? Thanks! :o)
I’m really looking forward to tomorrow and Saturday, and the events at Berklee. I love Boston! And I’m so excited for this conference!
That’s all for now, stay sweet and keep on rockin’!
