Alright, Spring break is now over. . . now it’s time to put our nose to the grindstone! I currently should be writing a few papers that are due tomorrow. But instead, I’m listening to Jefree Star and writing a blog –it’s almost as important, right?
Anyways, surprisingly enough, I wasn’t overloaded with work to do over break. I have one paper for Production, Promotion and Distribution, and reading for my Recording Fundamentals class that I just finished. Not too bad huh? Not at all.
MEISA, the music industry club on campus, is getting ready to embark on a journey to Boston for the annual National MEISA conference this weekend. I will be leaving on Thursday, and will be in Boston until Sunday morning. I’m pretty excited! The conference is Friday and Saturday from 8 AM to 10 PM. . . It’s gonna be a long weekend! But, there will be seminars and panels given by some of the top music industry professionals! It’s a great opportunity to network and meet some people in the biz. I just wish more people would take advantage of the opportunity. We had 20 open spots to fill in, and only about 8 people showed any interest. It’s a real bummer. I guess they just don’t know how awesome this opportunity really is.
So, hopefully the hotel will have free wifi and I’ll be able to update from the road. :o) That’s all for now. Keep on rockin’, and I’ll talk to you soon!
