The beginning of my story

I am Joshua Low, and at the moment I am a second semester freshman. I am from Middletown, New Jersey and boy is it a nice place. Contrary to the popular belief, Jersey is not exactly as its nick name ‘Dirty Jersey’ implies.  I actually live 5-10 minutes from the beach and not in an industrial wasteland. Most people have only been to North Jersey, and those places are bad there. But come down to central, even south Jersey. Appreciate the Jersey Shore.

I love to get involved because I like to make an impact and I have opportunities as my reward. I don’t care how much of an impact I make; I can either be a normal member of a club or be at the top of the E-board, as long as I can, it is good enough already. Getting involved also rewards me with opportunities, I get to meet new people and try many new things. It’s always a great feeling to know you impacted someone regardless of what you did.

I am over 12 extracurricular activities and I am active in all of them. I am on the Mock Trial team, I am an investigator for PIRO (Paranormal Investigators Research Association), a member of FSCC (Forensic Science and Chemistry Club), AFC (Ambassadors for Christ), ISA (International Students Association), Gaming Club, Anime Club, SCOPE (Student Committee of Planning Events), Victimology Club, Paintball Club, College Democrats and I also am a Charger Ambassador and the Executive Assistant (or Secretary for short) of my Bethel Hall Council.

Many have asked me, ‘How do you do that? How are you in this many clubs and not failing anything else?’ My answer to that is simple, time management. I always had a knack for organizing things and that has made me the time manager I am today. As for grades though, I can tell you that my grades are pretty good, although I do have to admit math still hates me. However, I can work on it, I will get better.

I am not only a school spirited person. Outside of school, I like to hang out with my friends and I like travelling around a lot, in addition to the typical video games and attempts for a daily gym run. I believe memories go a long way and this is why I also like to blog (I keep a daily blog somewhere on the web), take pictures (I like landscapes/scenery) and I play the piano, keyboards, xylophone, marimba and bells (can’t read music, no requests please: p).

These paragraphs here are only a beginning to the story that is my life at UNH. I will keep blogging, adding paragraphs, adding chapters. People will be able to read this story and at the end, when I graduate here. I can look at all I have done here and I will remember. There will be memories…
