Honors Program and Honors Student Council: Community Service Project Become an Honors “Blanketeer” on Wednesday, February 19th as you help make fleece blankets for Project Linus®. Project Linus® is comprised of hundreds of local chapters and thousands of volunteers across North America. They all work together to help provide a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through gifts of new, handmade blankets, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers”. Project Linus®, since its inception in 1995, has distributed over three million blankets to children in need. We will donate the blankets locally to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug. For additional information, please visit the website at www.projectlinus.org. ***** RSVP: honors@newhaven.edu***** B.Y.O.S.: Bring your own scissors
