I think my favorite thing about the University of New Haven is the meteoric growth I have witnessed since I was an undergraduate student. New facilities, programs the facility engagement level to name a few.
The University of New Haven offers a B.S. in Accounting which includes in its core 36 credit hours of accounting. The 36 credit hours are the required amount for certification. Many other universities offer BBA’s or concentrations that don’t meet the certification requirements. In addition, the University of New Haven is continuing to look at partnering opportunities with other CoB departments with the view of increasing options and opportunities for a more diversified accounting education.
Before joining the Accounting and Law Department at the University of New Haven, I spent over thirty five years between public accounting and corporate practice. This hands-on experience has put me in a unique position to not only teach theory, but how it applies to the real world and what they can anticipate after graduation.
