I have an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Accounting. In addition, I have training in Business Evaluation, business research techniques and international accounting standards.
For 10 years, and I have taught courses such as: financial accounting for managers, financial accounting for executives, current issues in financial accounting, advanced accounting theory, intermediate accounting, advanced accounting intro financial and managerial accounting.
I have been helping accounting students to select their courses widely and toward their future goals. Also, I have helped recent graduates in finding jobs and also continuing their education in the next academic level by writing recommendation letters for them and also advising them to success.
I like swimming and soccer. I like to take my kid to various sport activities in the town (Cheshire).
I advise them to pursue their education at the University of New Haven because it offers small class rooms with dedicated faculty and support staff and wide range of student activities. The University of New Haven also will help expand their professional capacity by offering extracurricular activities such as professional development seminars series and also many students run clubs and programs. They may not get this level of personal attention in larger schools.
Faculty and staff are great at the University of New Haven and you get a great deal of support that you need to succeed. Help and consultation are easily and immediately available without much bureaucracy. Location is also great and you have easy access to almost everything in the area from beach to shopping to academic centers.
The class sizes are small and the student to faculty ratio is low. This means students can get more direct help from professors. The faculty have extensive professional work experience. This will help students to learn techniques which may not be available in the textbooks and expose them to the realities of the professional work environment. Our accounting club is well organized, yet small enough to allow everyone the opportunity to participate in the club’s activities. Faculty research and publication shows their up-to date knowledge of practice and new developments and benefit students to get more exposure to the current issue than what is available in the textbooks.
I have professional work experience as an independent auditor, Chief Financial Officer, Business Consultant, Financial Board Member, and Managerial Accounting System Analyst. These professional experiences along with my academic education and academic research will help students learn not only the conceptual issues and academic techniques that they need to learn, but also to learn how to apply them in real business setting and how to solve and deal with anomalies that exit in the practice. My classes always include a term project about applying concepts and techniques in the practice.
