Project Lead the Way at the University of New Haven

University of New Haven is the affiliate university for PLTW in the state of Connecticut providing professional development for teachers, PLTW certification for CT schools, and college credit for students.

Project Lead The Way is a nonprofit organization that provides experiential learning for K-12 students and teachers across the U.S. Through pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, students learn problem-solving strategies, critical and creative thinking, and how to communicate and collaborate. We are shaping the innovators, creators, and designers of today and tomorrow.

Project Lead The Way provides a comprehensive approach to STEM Education. Through activity-, project-, and problem-based curriculum, PLTW gives students in kindergarten through high school a chance to apply what they know, identify problems, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning. For educators, PLTW’s rigorous teacher professional development model provides tools to empower students and transform the classroom into a collaboration space where content comes to life.

Schools wishing to join PLTW can do so by visiting the PLTW Website.
