Core Training

PLTW core training at the University of New Haven is an immersive intense professional development in each of the PLTW courses. PLTW-University of New Haven offers pre-engineering and computer science courses in a rotational basis. The frequency of the offering depends on the needs of the local and national demands. Teachers from across the country can enroll for PLTW core courses at the University of New Haven. The University of New Haven has offered core training since 2002. All classes are held on the campus of the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut.

One Day Workshops

University of New Haven-PLTW offers one day workshops for various PLTW courses based on need. Usually, these workshops are designed around courses that undergo a major revision. Workshops are also scheduled around particular software or hardware updates.

PLTW Information Sessions

The University of New Haven invites Connecticut schools to attend the annual Project Lead The Way (PLTW) information session on Friday November 17. Teachers and administrators from high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools will learn about the PLTW’s STEM programs. Current PLTW teachers as well as non-PLTW teachers and administrators who are looking to obtain more information on the program are welcome to attend.

Participants will learn about the PLTW program through talks and panel discussions lead by the University affiliate director, PLTW administrators and PLTW educators.

The information session will be held at the University of New Haven – Orange Campus on Friday, 17 November.
