Will I receive course credits for taking a lab?

You can register for the Faculty Engagement Labs in addition to the FE001 Freshman Experience course.  However, the Faculty Engagement Labs are not an alternative to the Freshman Experience Seminar. These labs are not graded and you will not receive additional credit.  The labs are developed to provide you with some control of the topics discussed and promote involvement on campus and in the community.

Will I be able to drop the lab from my schedule after I register for it?

You are expected to drop the course by the last official day to drop courses.  After that date, students are responsible for all expenses incurred on your behalf up to that time and will not receive a full refund of fees.  After September 30, 2011, you will be billed the entire fee and no refunds will be given.

Will transportation be provided for the trips?

Transportation will be provided for the trips that occur during the semester.  Students registered for a Global Lab, which takes place during the winter intersession, will need to arrange for their own transportation to and from the point of embarkation. All travel from that point forward will be arranged for you.
