You must have at least a “B” average, or higher, clean record, plus great references.
FBI: Requires minimum three years experience after college to be a Special Agent. Will hire support personnel including analysts out of college. Exceptional backgrounds in Middle Eastern Languages are valued highly (Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Urdo) Chinese and Russian also valuable. Military experience, a Law Degree or CPA also very attractive to FBI
BATF (Will often hire out of college. Police experience is helpful.)
DEA (Will hire out of college.)
Secret Service (Now usually want three years experience before hiring.)
DCIS (Hires out of college but competition often comes from senior agents of other agencies who want to settle into more a normal work routine.)
