Student Programs

UNH's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows program is designed to engage students in the experience of applied research under the direct tutelage and mentorship of a faculty member. The full process involves students crafting a research proposal, conducting a research project, and preparation and presentation of results in written and oral-presentation form at a research fair. The program supports student engagement, experiential learning, persistence and mentoring.

Students' proposals are reviewed and awards made by a faculty committee chaired by the Associate Provost for Graduate Studies and one faculty scholar from each college, each appointed by the dean of that college. Student fellowships include a summer stipend, room and partial board, an allowance for research and report supplies and an award certificate.

Applications for the summer of 2008 will be solicited in early March. The full complement of student summer research for 2007 is shown below:
