Registration Information

Current Students

Online registration is offered through the Matrix Student Information System.  Matrix is also where final grades are posted for viewing at the end of each academic period.  If you are a current student, you should have received a notification informing you of your student ID, login, password, and university email address.  Newly accepted students will receive this information once the acceptance process has been completed.  This will enable you to access your UNH email account, the Blackboard Learning System, and the Matrix Student Information System.

To log on to Matrix, go to www.newhaven.edu and choose Matrix-Student from the Quick Links, or go directly to http://matrix-sws.newhaven.edu/student.

For assistance with technical issues on the Matrix Student Information System (browser-related or login issues), please email matrixstudentsupport@newhaven.edu.

New Graduate Students

New students who have not completed the application process or who have applied too late for an admission decision may, in some programs, register for the upcoming term as in-process students.  Please contact the Graduate Admissions Office at (203) 932-7448 or (203) 932-7449 for registration information.  Prospective students in this status are required to have earned an undergraduate degree and must submit an application form, the application fee, and a copy of their undergraduate transcript prior to or at the time of registration.

Students who register as in-process students are advised that a decision regarding acceptance into a degree program will be delayed until all application materials and credentials have been received by the Graduate Admissions Office.  Permission to register as an in-process student does not guarantee admission to the graduate school.  No late fee is assessed for new students.

New or Former Day Students

New students who have not previously enrolled in courses at UNH or former students returning to UNH as day students should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to obtain information and an application.  To contact the admissions office, call (203) 932-7319 or email adminfo@newhaven.edu.  You will receive registration information and instructions upon completion of the acceptance process.

New or Former Evening Students

Contact the Center for Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS) for information and an application at (203) 932-7180 or 1-800-DIAL-UNH, ext. 7180, or email universitycollege@newhaven.edu.  New students must complete an application, pay the $50 application fee, provide an official high school transcript, and, if applicable, forward official transcripts of all college courses taken to date.

Former students who are returning to UNH after an absence of one year or more must reapply by completing an application and paying the $50 application fee.  Students who return to UNH after an absence of two years or more must resubmit official transcripts of all prior college courses.  To register online, follow the instructions indicated in the letter you receive upon completion of the acceptance process.
