The University of New Haven's Marketing and Publications Department has a new position for a Web Programmer. The duties of this job will include but are not limited to assists in project planning and website design, creates prototypes and functional specifications for Internet and Web-based Marketing projects, programs the HTML & CSS behind each web page. Requirements include: A bachelor's degree and three to four years relevant experience in IT and/or Web development applications. Experience with Microsoft IIS-6.0, Microsoft.Net Framework, specifically ASP.NET, and .NET related technologies. Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript and ActionScript. Strong skills in Flash and Dreamweaver. Knowledge of graphic design and image editing software particularly Adobe-Creative Suite (PhotoShop and Illustrator) and optimization of Website graphics. Experience working in CMS environment and techniques a plus. Proven ability to design and develop Web based applications targeting specific technologies and user communities. Programmer – Search # 07-81
The University of New Haven seeks an Internet Applications Programmer for the Office of Information Technology. The individual will provide support for a variety of web-based and internet-related programming. The successful candidate will create, enhance and maintain functionality between web front-end and database applications, have experience with Java/Javascript, ASP.net, web-design, graphics software, and support the University’s portal development strategies. Candidate will demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and be comfortable with staff and faculty. Bachelor’s degree, proficiency in Java/Javascript, asp.net and experience with both PC and Macintosh operating systems required.
