Mr. O'Brien has garnered awards and recognition from industry leaders such as Boeing for his accomplishments; his innovations in 400 Hz ground power have served as a catalyst in the industry.
As president and CEO of MCM Engineering, Inc., a Burlingame, Calif. company that he founded in 1991, Mr. O'Brien oversees all aspects of product design, development and manufacturing within the firm. Prior to founding MCM, Mr. O'Brien served as chief engineer for internationally known ground-service equipment companies such as Hobart Brother, Devtec, which is now TLD, and McCormick-Morgan.
Mr. O'Brien holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Haven.
Mr. O'Brien also embraces a passion for woodworking, which inspired him to create a line of outdoor furnishings for the home that he named 'Paddy O.' The furniture, which was sold nationwide, was also given as a gift to the University of New Haven upon Mr. O'Brien's graduation.
An avid fisherman and gardener, he has been married for 46 years to Geraldine O'Brien. The couple has a daughter and a son.
