Mr. Lewis has been the CEO of three companies, and has served as a general manager, director of a multi-national consulting business, CIO, chief strategist and entrepreneur. He has worked extensively with CEOs, boards, corporate management committees, venture capitalists and private equity firms. His experience spans environmental securities and clean energy finance, wholesale power, brokerage, investment banking, credit and charge card services, travel services, data and information services, software, insurance, hospitality, the federal government, and higher education.
Mr. Lewis is an executive-in-residence and adjunct professor of environmental finance at the Carey Business School of The Johns Hopkins University. He is a general partner of Roomtag, LLC, a provider of breakthrough technology for commercial office space and asset management. He is also a director for Evolution Markets, the nation’s leader in environmental brokerage and clean-energy finance.
Mr. Lewis has been a licensed broker and financial principal (NASD Series 7 and 24), and has served on several boards, including ITM Software Corporation and NeoVest, a broker-dealer that was sold to J.P. Morgan during his tenure.
Mr. Lewis holds a a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in Business Administration and a master's degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of New Haven. He was honored with the University’s Distinguished Alumni award in 1994, and received an honorary doctorate in Business Administration and was the featured speaker for the University’s Winter Commencement in January 2005. He is vice chairman of the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science, affiliated with the University of New Haven.
Mr. Lewis has taught at California Polytechnic University Pomona, California State University, Dominguez Hills, and the University of New Haven, and has lectured at Cornell University.
Mr. Lewis is also a professional chef who holds an associate's degree in Culinary Arts, with honors, from the Culinary Institute of America. He was awarded the school's honor award for excellence. An accomplished artist whose grandfather, Giovanni Scarinci, was a favored portraitist for numerous federal judges, Mr. Lewis is a student of Master Artist Susan Sarbeck. He paints in the Impressionistic oil style reminiscent of Claude Monet's works.
