The firm is an affiliate of UBS AG, the world's largest wealth-management firms and a global leader in investment banking and securities. She oversees the efforts of UBS Private Wealth Advisors, delivering the firm's global wealth management capabilities to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions. Since joining UBS in 2002, Ms. Barneby has served as branch manager of UBS's Wealth Management office in Hartford, and Eastern Divisional sales manager and sales manager for the firm's Park Avenue, New York office. She began her career in 1974 at Merrill Lynch and held several senior-level positions there, as well as in other firms in the industry.
Ms. Barneby currently serves as a trustee for the Securities Industry Institute, a development network for securities industry professionals coordinated through the Wharton School, and is a director at Domus, a Connecticut-based non-profit organization focused on assisting at-risk youth and their families. She is also an active supporter of the Women's Network at UBS, which seeks to promote the recruitment, retention and advancement of women at UBS.
Ms. Barneby earned her bachelor's degree from New York University and her M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University. She also earned her Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation at the esteemed Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Barneby and her husband T. Kirkham Barneby have a son, Charles, who is majoring in Hospitality/Tourism at the University of New Haven. They reside in Stamford, Conn.
