The University of New Haven is a leader in experiential education.
Many of our programs offer students the opportunity for education "out of the box" and out of the classroom, enriched by discovery and reflection: in the lab, in the community, across borders.
Experiential Learning expresses the breadth of our mission: in and out of the classroom; formal and informal learning; sometimes for academic credit and sometimes not; mentored by our faculty or initiated by our students themselves. All UNH undergraduates complete either: academic service-learning, study abroad, an internship, or faculty-mentored research. Some students will earn honors in UNH's Society for Experiential Education. Learn more about UNH's Experiential Education Degree Requirement.
