The backbone of Charger REC is Team REC; our student employment program.  We only hire UNH students that truly want to be a part of our team and are dedicated to the success of the department.  The training and experiences through campus recreation employment lead to lifelong student success and excellence.

  1. Mission


    TeamREC members provide an atmosphere of fun, respect, and responsibility.  As student professionals, we strive to deliver quality programs and services to both students and members.  As a result we will gain leadership, social, and communication skills not found in the classroom. 

  2. Positions

    Student positions:

    Customer Service Attendants
    Fitness Center Attendants
    RECSport Officials
    Preventative Maintenance Technicians
    Group Fitness Instructors
    Personal Trainers
    Marketing Interns

    These positions are open to undergraduate, graduate, work study, and bursary students interested in working in a team environment committed to the mission and philosophy of the department. 


    If you are interested in being a Group X instructor or a Personal Trainer, you must already be certified.    Instructors and trainers are hired on an as-needed basis.  If you are interested, please contact Michelle Scott - 203-931-2963 -


    Anyone interested in officiating, MUST ATTEND the training dates for their desired sport.  Officials are requested to have a general background of sports.  The trainings will be in lieu of a typical application and interview process.  Officials are not required to submit applications and/or resumes. Any questions, contact

  3. Information Sessions


    Any student Interested in a facilities position MUST ATTEND an Information Session before their application will be considered.  Next Info session for employment will be next fall - exact dates TBD

    The sessions will last approximately 30 minutes.  Late comers will NOT be let in.  Please plan accordingly.  Once you have attended the mandatory information sessions offered, you will need to download and print the Application and Staff Preference Sheet. Remember, your application will not be considered until you attend an Informational Session.  Along with your application and preference sheet, students are asked to provide a resume and cover letter.  All forms need to be dropped off at the front desk.  Late applications will not be accepted.
