Introduction
The Tagliatela College of Engineering offers a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering that combines practical, hands-on skills with a theoretical foundation. Our program has a record of continual accreditation by ABET since 1970.
We pride ourselves not only on the academic excellence of our program, but also on important factors that differentiate us from many other engineering schools. We strongly believe that good education depends on good teachers, and so it is our policy that courses are taught by full-time faculty. We do not believe in having graduate students teach our courses. Adjunct faculty members who are experienced practitioners of certain subjects may be brought in on occasion to teach special topics.

Unique Features
Students who graduate from our program find lucrative engineering jobs with nationally known companies. Many engineers at Sikorsky, Pratt & Whitney, Pitney-Bowes, and other large, well-known companies are graduates of our program. Comments from industry representatives have assured us that our graduates are sought after as hands-on engineers who have the theoretical and practical background to handle modern engineering challenges.
Some of our graduates have entered engineering graduate school for their master's or doctorate degree, while others have pursued medical school or careers in business or law.
