The M.S.E.M. program at UNH uniquely melds key components of the executive M.B.A. program with the study of engineering methodologies. The M.S.E.M. program is tailored to meet the needs of engineers and technical professionals who seek to become leaders in their company and industry.


The program offers classes at four locations: West Haven (Main Campus) and New London.

What is M.S.E.M.?

The master of science degree program in engineering management (M.S.E.M.) offers the most advanced conceptual and practical learning available. It is designed not only to expand your intellect but also to effect positive change. Here you will learn how to lead a company, how to realize opportunity, and how to reach the loftiest goals. With engineering faculty members who enjoy national and international reputations; with a part of the program drawn from the prestigious executive M.B.A. program at University of New Haven; and with a class consisting of your peers we believe our program is more than career-oriented— it is career-defining.

The M.S.E.M. program includes advanced learning in achieving optimal operations, project management, quality assurance, and E-solutions in engineering management. Additional topics from our M.B.A. program are organizational change and development, accounting, financial management, marketing practice, and leadership.

This 18-module program can be completed in two consecutive academic years. Each module meet for six hours, one day per week for five consecutive weeks. Classes usually meet on the same day for the entire two-year period. Currently, cohorts meet on Monday (New London) and Tuesday (New Haven) evenings.
