| About the Program |
| |
| Sustainability is a broad concept that has become preeminent for the twenty-first century global society. The discipline deals with understanding and balancing the ubiquitous need for growth and well-being of human societies within a global environment where natural resources become ever more limiting. Sustainability science is an emerging discipline that seeks to |
- understand their interactions between natural, social, and economic systems, the complex mechanisms that lead to the degradation of these systems, and the associated risks to human well-being and security and
|
- provide the vision and methodology that will lead to the restoration and harmonization of these systems
|
| |
| This academic program, B.S. in Sustainability Studies, is designed to prepare students to face the challenges of applying sustainable principles and practices in a variety of professional positions in industry, government, and academia.
