Dr. Martin's current research interest is in the area of teaching.  She has a recent publication in the Journal of Education for Business and has made three presentations to UNH faculty on the topics of student evaluations and teaching statistics.  She has had previous publications in the Monthly Labor Review, Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics, and the Journal of Applied Business Research.  Presently, she serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Business and Society

She has been active in regional economic associations.  Dr. Martin served as an executive board member and conference coordinator for the Northeast Business and Economics Association.  She is a member of the American Economics Association.

Dr. Martin is an executive board member of the APT Foundation.  The Apt Foundation provides drug-rehabilitation services to the greater New Haven community.
