Brown is a lecturer in restaurant and food service management for the Hazell Center for Hospitality Sales and Event Management at the College of Business. He has over fifteen years of culinary, food service management and training/education experience specializing in large quantity commissary operations and healthcare contract management services. He completed his culinary foreign exchange scholarship at the Two-Michelin Star awarded Park Hotel Kenmare in Kerry, Co. Ireland before becoming an Executive Chef for not-for-profit companies such as America's Second Harvest, The Cohen Foundation of Massachusetts, and the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.Chef Brown holds an Associates degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors degree in Business Education from Johnson & Wales University as well as an MBA in Healthcare Operations. His interests in extended healthcare and geriatric nutrition led to positions as director of food and nutrition services for ARAMARK Healthcare and director of food services for Weinberg Village Assisted Living. Chef Brown has held teaching positions at NYIT, Gibbs College, CUNY and as an online facilitator in culinary management for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
