Other

Dr. Upadhyaya was born and raised in Nepal. He briefly worked at the Center for Economic Development and Administration (CEDA) in Kathmandu, Nepal.    In 1986 he took an assignment to work with the United Nations in Tanzania, Dar-es-Salaam for two years.   In 1988 he came to the U.S. for his doctoral study.   He joined the University of New Haven as an Associate Professor of Economics in the fall of 2000.    His prior teaching experience includes at Penn State University - Berks Campus and Salisbury University (formerly Salisbury State University) in Maryland.

Dr. Upadhyaya's current research areas include International Economics, Development Economics, Applied Econometrics and Public Choice.   His works have appeared in Economics Letters, Economic Inquiry, The Journal of Development Studies, International Trade Journal, Public Choice and Applied Economics among others.   He has served as reviewer for Applied Economics, Bulletin of Economic Research, Eastern Economic Journal, Economics Letters, Economics and Governance, Journal of Applied Economics, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, International Economic Journal, and   International Review of Economics and Finance.
