Scott Lane

Education

Dr. Scott Lane received his Ph.D from University of Kentucky, 1999; his M.S. in Accounting, from Texas A&M University, 1983; and his B.S. from University of Massachusetts at Lowell, 1981 

Other

Prior to his return to academia, Dr. Lane was the controller for Cambridge Energy Research Associates, an international oil and gas consulting and research firm. Before that he was in public accounting for 5 years. He earned his CPA designation in 1986.

Dr. Lane's research interests are in the areas of knowledge management, intangible assets, technology and e-business. A recently co-authored article has been accepted for publication in the American Accounting Association journal Issues in Accounting Education.

Dr. Lane lives in Guilford with his wife Kathy and his daughters Christine and Lauren.
