Brian O'Gara, Major League Baseball's Senior Director of Special Events will give a talk on his experiences as event director of the MLB World Series and All-Star Game, and other events. O'Gara was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 1989. In his position as Senior Director, O'Gara oversees game presentation & fan entertainment; producing/directing pre-game ceremonies; special event development & operations; and broadcast event production. O'Gara, who has organized Major League Baseball events around the world, once Fidel Castro while arranging a MBL game in Cuba.

Brian Jennings, Executive Vice President of Marketing for the National Hockey League (NHL) will be speaking in the Bartels Alumni Lounge on Thursday, November 11 as part of the Robert Alvine Professional Enrichment Program. He will provide an overview and specific tactics on houw the NHL has transformed its business over the past few years. Jennings joined the NHL in 1990, serving as director of licensing, regional sales manager, and national sales manager. He joined the senior executive team in 1997 as group vice president for consumer products marketing division. In this position, Jennings has led numerous financial, retail and licensing operations and delivered an impressive $1 billion in sales growth. His leadership achievements have been acknowledged throughout the industry, by Street & Smith's, and by Sporting Goods Business who named him one of the 'Top 40 Sports Executives under 40.'
