Faculty & Resources

Our faculty's primary interest is in teaching. Our faculty draws upon extensive industry experience in various hospitality fields. Students have access to a wide range of career-enhancing resources, including student-led professional organizations and valuable internship opportunities.

Field Opportunities

Practical training (1000 hours required) is individualized to the student's field of interest and provides opportunities for leadership development and career networking through full-time, part-time, and co-op work.

  • Small classes foster individual attention, a key advantage of the private school atmosphere at UNH.
  • Graduates are ready for a career with a degree from one of the nation's most well-respected and comprehensive programs in hospitality and tourism.
  • The College of Business Professional Enrichment (PEP) Program offers seminars, workshops, and forums that deal with professional readiness and emerging issues. Students pursuing a B.S. degree in business must participate in the PE Program.
  • The College of Business Personalized Academic Curricular Experience (PACE) Program offers each student a thematic learning experience that focuses on career interests and aspirations.
  • The Dean's Student Internship Program is a compensated work experience that provides students with an opportunity to work closely with a member of the College of Business leadership team on an externally driven project with regional businesses or community leaders.
  • Among the many experiential learning initiatives sponsored by the College of Business are the Corporate Challenge, a competition in which teams of Business students complete field work on a local business case study and compete for awards and prizes, and the three-tiered mentoring program (business leader to student, e-mentoring, and student to student).
  • Recent physical additions to UNH's College of Business include

The Student Enrichment Center
Featuring the Isabella Dodds Conference Center; the Hazell Nut Café, a café run by business students as an experiential learning activity; and the technologically advanced Communication Laboratory.

The Samuel S. Bergami Jr. Learning Center for Finance and Technology
The technological features of this state-of-the-art hands-on facility rival those found on professional trading floors.
