Wentworth (Charlie) Boynton is the Chair of the Department of Finance at the University of New Haven. He teaches primarily advanced courses in the graduate school.
Dr. Boynton graduated from Colby College as a philosophy major in 1972, later studied accounting and became a CPA in 1980. He worked in private industry for 15 years and returned to school and completed his Ph.D. in 2000.
His primary research focus is asset pricing models, especially the role of frictions distorting stock prices and the role of estimation risk. Since joining the faculty in 2000, Dr. Boynton has taught a wide range of corporate finance and investment courses.
