Led by program director Donna Decker Morris, J.D., distinguished faculty members possess J.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees from major universities. With outstanding backgrounds in the practice of law, government service, and public policy development, our faculty bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the legal studies program. In addition, distinguished practicing attorneys teach specialized courses related to their particular expertise.
The UNH library maintains substantial law-related holdings, online legal research databases, and is a U.S. Government Depository library. You can access legal and social science research and materials from any computer with Internet access. A wide variety of university research and educational centers provides unique learning opportunities for legal studies students at UNH.
In addition to the legal studies program, students can take advantage of courses and lectures offered by the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science, the Center for Forensic Psychology, the Institute for Law and Public Affairs, the Center for Crime Victims' Rights, the Center for Dispute Resolution, and the Center for Cyber Law and Crime.
The Legal Society includes students from throughout the University interested in law and legal issues. The society promotes discussion of legal topics and development of career information through numerous speakers, programs, special events, field trips, and regular meetings.
