Introduction

A bachelor's degree in forensic science is offered by the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. UNH is home to the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science, established by the world-renowned forensic expert, who was the first director of the program in 1975 and who continues to serve as an active member of the UNH faculty. The College also offers a master's degree in forensic science.

Program Features

  • UNH has one of the oldest and most renowned forensic Science programs in the world.
  • The bachelor's degree program is accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC). 

  • Our challenging and competitive programs combine a strong natural science education with a solid understanding of forensic science.

  • Our curriculum allows students in the undergraduate program to focus their studies in chemistry or biology.  Many students graduate with dual degrees.

  • Students have the opportunity to choose elective courses leading to certificates in forensic computer investigation or information protection and security as well as in fire/arson Investigation and crime analysis.

  • A small student to faculty ratio allows individual advisement. Faculty members are interested in and actively involved in the success of each student.

  • All of UNH's full-time forensic science faculty have extensive experience in the field, and are well-known in their respective disciplines. They continue to be actively involved in the field their participation in professional associations, as well as through analyzing and consulting on forensic cases.
