Mr. Carbone is the Executive Director of the Court Support Services Division of the Connecticut Judicial Branch (http://www.jud.ct.gov/CSSD/).  He directs and manages over 1400 employees involved with adult and juvenile probation, family services, juvenile detention, alternative sanctions and pretrial release. Mr. Carbone served as Under Secretary of the Management and Justice Planning Division, of the State Office of Policy and Management from January 1, 1983, to February 1, 1991. From 1983 until 1991, Mr. Carbone chaired, by appointment of the Governor, the Prison and Jail Overcrowding Commission. He was also former Director of the Office of Alternative Sanctions (OAS).

In addition, Mr. Carbone is a member of the American Probation & Parole Association and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.  He has served as chairman of Connecticut's Legislative Sentencing Commission and he has coordinated gubernatorial task forces dealing with the problems of arson, delinquency, family violence, crime victims and many others.
