Our faculty members have a wealth of experience in their specific fields, and are or have been chief officers within a fire department. The fire science courses are constantly updated to ensure our faculty is teaching not only what is current but the future trends as well. In addition our faculty holds many degrees and has a combined experience of over 150 hundred years of service in the field of fire protection. A number our faculty are national recognized speakers and have published articles and books related to the field of fire protection.
The adjunct faculty who are professionals (fire protection engineers, fire marshals, fire chiefs, and federal and state investigators) from the areas of public and private sector are selected to best serve our students and the strategic directions of the Fire Science Department.
The program benefits from the experiences of many adjunct professors who are currently active in the fire service. By staying connected to the fire service, they maintain contact with the fire fighters who are utilizing the latest in modern fire safety and engineering technology every day.
