New Academic Building Will House Two Classrooms, MathZone
A new academic building is under construction on Prudden Street, north of Echlin Hall. It has two classrooms, a computer lab, conference room, faculty offices and reception area and will be home to the university’s new MathZone program. The building will also feature fire science laboratory space.

Interactive Mathematical Modeling and Tumor–Immune Dynamics Lab, 4/19
Why is it that one patient’s cancer returns after some time, while another patient can remain cancer free? After a century of controversy, the notion that the immune system regulates cancer development, dormancy, and progression is experiencing a new resurgence. In this lab, we will develop mathematical models of tumor-immune interactions associated with the cancer immunoediting hypothesis and we will use these models to make predictions about tumor dormancy.

Negrura Peruana Brings Its Original Afro-Peruvian Beats To UNH
Negrura Peruana performs the music and dance of Peru’s African and criollo population. The group has performed at a number of high-profile venues including with Eva Ayllón (Afro-Peruvian icon and Grammy nominee), and throughout the growing Peruvian community of Connecticut. In 2005 they were invited to the Library of Congress American Folklife Center as part of the Homegrown Concert Series.

Quinnipiac students' project to find out"' UNH professor Melissa Whitson and her dog, a bichon-poodle mix, launched the program at UNH last semester to alleviate stress during final exam weeks. “You can sign up for specific times and essentially most of them sit and play with him, pet him and kind of relax and de-stress,” Whitson said Monday. “I hear a lot of them say while they’re visiting with him that they miss their own animals at home or want animals, so it’s been really positively received by students.”
