Federal Work-Study is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. Eligible students are able to select from a wide range of positions including jobs in Residential Life, Athletics, and various admininstrative offices. Students also have the option to work off campus in a community service capacity. Generally, students work between six to ten hours but can a maximum of twenty hours per week. Federal Work-Study students earn $8.00 per hour and are paid on a weekly basis. Most students use these earnings to pay for books and other personal expenses.
Institutional Student Employment (Bursary) is offered by individual offices and departments to full time students. Students can check for the availability of Bursary positions on the University Blackboard site or inquire at the Career Services Office. Bursary students are paid on a weekly basis and may work up to twenty hours per week. Students with multiple jobs are still held to the twenty hour a week maximum.
Student Employment Forms
All student workers must complete certain Federal and Connecticut documents as well as university work-authorization and confidentiality forms. No student may begin working until all required documents have been submitted to the financial aid office. Students must also be prepared to present two original forms of identification to confirm employment eligibility.

Connecticut W4's - Connecticut tax forms must be filled out regardless if you are a resident or not.
UNH Student Work Agreement Forms - This form outlines several rules and regulations attached to employment at the university. This must be completed before starting work at UNH. Three different forms are available depending on type of employment.
Student Employee Confidentiality Policy - All student employees regardless of employment term or department are required to sign off, along with the supervisor, a confidentiality agreement.
