The bachelor’s degrees in mathematics offered by UNH’s College of Arts and Sciences provide a wide range of career opportunities for students who are good at quantitative thinking and who enjoy working with computers, overcoming the challenges of problem solving, and interacting with other people. We encourage students to take advantage of numerous opportunities to explore their individual interests through the wide variety of options available in the Math programs. 

Unique Features

  • UNH offers various programs and concentrations to meet students’ mathematical interests: B.A. in mathematics, B.A. in mathematics with a concentration in education, B.S. in math with a concentration in applied mathematics, B.S. in math with a concentration in computer science, B.S. in math with a concentration in statistics, and a minor in math for students in other majors.
  • Each program offers several electives that allow exploration of fields outside mathematics.
  • All first- and second-year courses are offered both days and evenings.
  • Upper-level courses are offered on a regular rotating basis.
  • Independent study and student research courses may be arranged to fit individual student schedules, needs, and interests.
