| The Communication Department offers certificates in journalism and mass communication. Students may choose to take these courses on a matriculated or nonmatriculated basis. Students who choose the nonmatriculated option do not need to apply to a degree program at the University. However, the credits earned may be applied toward the requirements for a degree program at a later date. | |
| Mass Communication Certificate | |
| This program offers options in television production, radio production, writing for media, interpersonal communication, or a combination of radio/television and film. All students are required to take 15 credit hours, including the following: | |

| Journalism Certificate | |
