B.A., Psychology
The bachelor’s degree program in psychology combines basic science and applications to prepare students for further professional training in psychology or for careers in human services, law, education, business, and industry. As a discipline, psychology is devoted to the scientific study of mind and behavior. This program is offered through the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Behaviors are studied in many settings, from the family to the laboratory, from the clinic to the marketplace.
- The community-clinical concentration features courses for those students who have well-defined professional goals for delivery of human services.
- The general psychology concentration permits students to tailor their preparation toward other specialty areas.
- Students are encouraged to broaden their perspective by completing a minor or taking electives in fields such as sociology, political science, management, computer science, criminal justice, mathematics, or biology.
