Education 6th Year degree from Southern Connecticut State University Courses Taught Her current instructional responsibilities include teaching courses to prepare secondary language arts candidates as well as teaching the introductory course to the program as well as ED 654S Organization and Structure of the Secondary School and ED 681 Classroom Management. Other Mrs. Maiorino joined the Education Department as a Practitioner In Residence in the fall of 2004 after having served as an adjunct since 1999. She also supervises interns and student teachers. For thirty-four years, she has served the education profession as a secondary English teacher and reading specialist. For the last fifteen years of her public school career she served as English department chairperson and Language Arts Coordinator responsible for sixteen teachers in grades 6-12. Her primary responsibilities in this role included evaluating and supervising teachers, developing and monitoring curriculum as well as planning and implementing staff development. She has chaired numerous committees, most notably the steering committee for the 2000 NEASC visit for North Branford High School. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
