About ePortfolio

The University of New Haven has joined the national movement of offering students ePortfolios--online archives that enable students to capture and reflect on the learning they have done in college.  Across the country, students are using these ePortfolios to market themselves to employers and to apply to graduate schools.

At UNH, students design professional home pages for their ePortfolios; these home pages include students’ writing about their educational experiences and images of the students at work in the classroom and co-curricular activities.  In addition, our students incorporate samples of their projects, presentations, and papers from their courses and internships as well as their résumés.

By developing these ePortfolios in freshman year and continuing to enhance them through the sophomore, junior and senior years, students have the opportunity to reflect on their progress in their major and to consider the impact of their educational experiences on their self-development.
