Professor Dalsant has taught a variety of language courses in New York and at Yale University. She is interested in second language acquisition and in developing courses that cater to students’ specific needs, such as medical, legal, and forensic Spanish.

Her research in Spanish literature encompasses the medieval period and the Siglo de Oro with a particular focus on cross-cultural and cross-lingual interactions among the three Abrahamic Religions.  She is further interested in the continuity of medieval topics in contemporary literature, notably in Latin America
