This is a 2-week program in Normandy, France and London, England. If there is sufficient demand, the program will be expanded to a full semester, 4 weeks. Students will receive six credits for each of the two-week sessions, 12 credits for the semester. The program will be housed in a 16th-century French castle (shown here) near Dieppe, France – Chateau de Miromesnil. The chateau will be a base of operations from which the group will tour and study the surrounding area. In addition to France, each session will take a 4-day trip to London to study the medieval, and significant World War II sites to be found there. The total cost of the program including tuition for six credits is $5,550. Air fare, room and most meals are included. Financial aid available.
Art History
This course will cover art history through a study of architecture and art from the Romanesque period of 400 AD through the post-impressionist period at Giverny, Paris and London.
History of World War II
This course will cover the history of WWII in the European theater of war — with a special focus on France during D-Day operations in June 1944 and London during the Blitz.
