About

    Dr. Paulette L. Pepin, an Associate Professor of History, teaches courses in European and western civilization. For several years she has taught in the Freshman Honors Program including “Holy Crimes” with English professor, Rick Farrell and “Iberian Culture and Civilization” with Associate Dean and Music professor, José Garcia-León. This fall 2012 she will be teaching a new joint-college course, Tolerance in America, with criminal justice professor, Dr. David Schroeder.

    Dr. Pepin's main focus of research has been in the field of Spanish medieval history. She is currently researching and writing a biography of María de Molina (1259-1321), a queen and regent for the Kingdom of Castile-León.

    Dr. Pepin currently serves as a member of the Advisory Committee for University College. She has also severed as Chairman of the Education Department as well as a member of search committees for the A&S Dean, Associate Provost for Study Abroad and Experiential Education and Education Department Chair.

    Besides reading about medieval history, Dr. Pepin enjoys reading mystery and spy novels written by such authors as Alan Furst and Daniel Silva. She also loves to travel to Europe especially Spain, France, Germany and England and is looking forward to leading European study abroad programs for UNH students.
