National Security Professor and Graduate Students Attend AFIO/NE Meeting

Nov 7, 2009, UNH National Security graduate students attended the Quarterly meeting of AFIO/NE (Association for Intelligence Officers, New England Chapter), in Salem, Massachusetts.  The guest speaker, Ms. Ilana Freedman, is the CEO and founder of Gerard Group International. She spoke on a multitude of issues, including the shootings by U.S Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan at Fort Hood in TX, the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the Gerard Group's method for analyzing and predicting events.  In attendance at the meeting was Dr. William Tafoya, Director of the UNH National Security Graduate Program, a member of the AFIO/NE Board of Directors. Accompanying him were National Security graduate students: Christian Ortiz, Ryan Mihalyak, Meagan Wilder, Michael Fain, Mehwish Salim, and Eric Hutchinson.  Also in attendance were Chris Farmar and Robert Belinky, two NSP alumni.
