Theatre Arts

The BA in Theatre Arts program offers theatre students the opportunity to study in a professional and creative environment. Students are given a broad overview of the industry from performance to design to the business of theatre. The program strongly endorses the idea that anyone pursuing a degree in theatre should have a deep appreciation and understanding of the many aspects that make up the creation of theatre.

The theatre program welcomes all students interested in immersing themselves within a creative environment designed to help develop, nurture, and showcase their creative talents with an ability to give each student the individual attention he or she needs and deserves.

The theatre program is a member of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival which provides several scholarship and learning opportunities at both the regional and national festivals held each year. Internships are available and encouraged, and can be taken for credit during the regular school year or over the summer. Short and long term study abroad programs are also offered.
